Will it hurt to have an adjustment?
Usually it feels good to have an adjustment. Even if you are quite sore
at the time, our gentle approach is usually painless. Most people are surprised by how much relief they experience
and how the adjustment is ‘no big deal’.
What’s that ‘crack’ noise?
When the bones are slightly separated during the adjustment, there is a vacuum created
and a bubble forms from gas. This bubble breaks and makes the popping sound. Nothing is being injured or damaged in
any way. Often a good adjustment is done and there is no noise at all. As long as the joint is moved, it was good.
How well are Chiropractors educated?
Three years of university education comparable to pre-medical or pre-dental school is required before being accepted to
Chiropractic College. Then there is a full time curriculum of four more years including a Chiropractic internship in the last year.
Will insurance cover my Chiropractic care?
Most extended benefits now cover Chiropractic at least partly. All companies and unions update their coverage needs regularly so be aware
of what yours offers and if it’s not that good, speak up and demand better.
For motor vehicle accidents you will be covered by your car insurance for Chiropractic care.
For job related injuries you will be covered by the WSIB-Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. You are still covered for treatment
even when you return to work, as long as you are still being treated for your work-related injury.
What type of conditions do you treat?
Back pain, neck pain, headaches, leg and arm pain with possible numbness or tingling, muscle pain and weakness, sports injuries, hip,
knee and foot problems, shoulder, elbow and wrist problems. Just about any musculoskeletal problem could be assessed by a Chiropractor.
We also have some success relieving some digestive problems as well as some sinus conditions.
